Like the photographer Massimo Vitali, the painter Benjamin Chasselon made of seaside space the stage of its representations for nearly twenty years. It captures with attention to details the scene of Marseille life and dramas that might arise from these peaceful bathers. It is because of its experience of restorer of paintings that the former student of Fine Arts scool drew the detail that makes sense. The sea which seems invisible remains the primary source of inspiration for the child from the Point Rouge district.
